Dartmouth Chat API

What’s an API?

An API is an Application Programming Interface that allows you to build applications that can securely communicate and exchange data. By accessing the Dartmouth Chat API, you can build new and different interfaces to access and utilize the models provided through Dartmouth Chat.

What do I need to get started?

There is a thorough tutorial available to show you how to use the API. It includes instructions for retrieving your API key as well as instructions and example code for making calls to the API.

How does it work?

Once you have set up your API key, you can then make programmatic calls to Dartmouth Chat, specifying the model you wish to use as well as your prompts. The results of the call are returned in a JSON file.
